The Threat of Radical Islamism in America
The recent attack in New Orleans and the subsequent pro-Hamas march in New York City highlight the growing threat of radical Islamism within America. The Biden administration has failed to address this issue, instead focusing on conjured political threats. This has emboldened radical Islamist groups, who are now openly calling for violence and the destruction of the West.
These groups are fueled by a progressive ideology that is anti-American and antisemitic. They are not interested in building a better future for the Palestinian people, but rather in undermining America, attacking the Jewish people, and spreading their radical ideology.
The education system and failed leadership have contributed to this problem. College campuses have become breeding grounds for radical Islamism, while the Biden administration has done nothing to stop it.
The incoming Trump administration must take this threat seriously. No university that receives federal funding should permit calls for violence or threats against Jewish students. President Trump must also use his position to advocate against the claims of these protesters and make clear that America stands firmly against this bigotry.
Additionally, President Trump must take the fight to radical Islamic organizations abroad. These groups are making a forceful comeback, and their expansion overseas increases their capability to build networks inside America that threaten our people.
We cannot simply sit on our hands and expect this threat to disappear. We need to go on offense and ensure that groups like ISIS do not have the capacity to threaten the United States or radicalize our citizens.
For four years in the Trump administration, America was kept safe by doing just that. I am confident President Trump can deliver for the American people again.
