He also led a meeting to discuss future plans for combating the disease.
Liu highlighted the critical stage of the epidemic control efforts. He urged measures to limit imported cases and prevent the spread of Chikungunya within and beyond the affected areas. He emphasized the importance of scientific and effective mosquito eradication and prevention, including eliminating mosquito breeding grounds and conducting thorough epidemiological investigations to break transmission chains.
Furthermore, Liu called for strict quarantine procedures at ports to prevent the entry of new cases. He also emphasized the need for appropriate medical treatment for individuals infected with Chikungunya.
