Gulf Cooperation Council chief welcomes Saudi Arabia's bid to host 2034 FIFA World Cup

Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, has expressed his welcome to Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, stating that this bid aligns with the ambitious vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, crown Prince and Prime Minister, in hosting global sports events.

Albudaiwi emphasised that this bid underscores the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's excellent and high capabilities in hosting such events and reflects the Kingdom's esteemed position on the map of hosting international functions.

He added: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership, and its people for all the success and prosperity in organizing the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
