The Fordo nuclear site in Iran is heavily fortified, constructed deep within a mountain to provide protection against potential attacks. Its location and design make it exceptionally difficult to target.
The United States military possesses a specific weapon capable of reaching and potentially damaging the Fordo site. This weapon, known as a "bunker buster," is designed to penetrate and destroy underground bunkers and heavily protected facilities. It is considered the only air-delivered weapon with a realistic chance of success against such a target.
The bunker buster's design prioritizes penetration over explosive yield. It features a robust steel casing and a relatively small amount of explosives compared to standard bombs of similar size. This heavy casing allows the weapon to withstand the impact as it travels through layers of soil, rock, or concrete before detonating.
Due to its substantial size, measuring 20 feet in length and weighing 30,000 pounds, the bunker buster can only be carried by the American B-2 stealth bomber.

It's good to see the U.S. prepared for any potential nuclear threats. Security must be a priority!
