One attendee from the Baltimore area expressed their patriotism, highlighting the significance of Flag Day, the Army's anniversary, and the coincidence of Trump's birthday.
Many attendees expressed their support for the troops, while also showing support for Trump. One individual, who traveled from Florida, emphasized the importance of supporting the military under a president who respects them. Another attendee, from Northern Kentucky, described themselves as patriotic and mentioned the added significance of Trump's birthday.
Veterans were also present at the parade. One 30-year Army veteran stated they felt it was their last chance to see such a parade. Another veteran, who drove from Ann Arbor, Michigan, simply stated they were there for the Army celebration.
While the parade primarily showed support for the military and Trump, there was a noticeable anti-Trump presence outside the parade's perimeter. A few anti-Trump individuals were also present within the parade area. One attendee stated they were protesting Trump, feeling he was using the military to "strut" rather than celebrate it.
