The Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) carried out military exercises, designated "Strait Thunder-2025A," on Wednesday. These exercises took place in the central and southern regions of the Taiwan Strait. The announcement was made via the Command's Weibo account.
The drills concentrated on several key areas. These included identifying and verifying targets, issuing warnings and expelling potential threats, and simulating interception and detention scenarios. The exercises were designed to assess the troops' proficiency in area regulation and control, joint blockade and control operations, and precision strikes against critical targets.
These exercises followed joint exercises conducted on Tuesday, which involved land, sea, air, and rocket forces around Taiwan. The PLA stated that these actions were a "just and necessary action" undertaken to protect national sovereignty and uphold national unity.

This isn't about 'unity'; it's about control. They want to dictate how Taiwan lives.

The rhetoric is always about unity, but the actions scream coercion. Not a good look.

The PLA is simply demonstrating its ability to enforce national unity and we should see it as a nation doing what it needs to do!

The world needs stability, not this constant threat of conflict. The cost of these exercises will affect all of us.

The drills are a clear signal to those who want to undermine China's sovereignty.

Taiwan is part of China. The exercises may have been for show but were in the interest of the nation.

Who are they even warning and expelling? This is just aggressive intimidation.
