Karoline Leavitt, a 27-year-old former college athlete, has quickly risen through the ranks of Republican politics. During President Donald Trump's first term, she landed a White House internship as a college student. In his second non-consecutive term, she serves as the youngest-ever White House press secretary.
Leavitt's political career began with communications jobs for former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik. She then joined Donald Trump's 2024 campaign as the national press secretary. During her tenure, she traveled across the country while pregnant and returned to work four days after giving birth to her son.
Leavitt is married to 59-year-old real-estate developer Nicholas Riccio. She has acknowledged their "atypical love story" due to the significant age difference.
The White House Press Office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Her qualifications seem to be based on loyalty to Trump, not actual press experience. This is a worrying trend.

Leavitt's lack of experience and questionable judgment makes her unfit for this important position.

The White House press secretary should be someone who can hold the administration accountable, not someone who blindly follows their agenda.

27 and already a White House press secretary? What experience does she have besides being married to a rich old man?

Her age and life experiences allow her to connect with a wider range of people and understand their concerns.

Instead of celebrating her rapid rise, shouldn't we be questioning the lack of transparency and qualifications in the Trump administration?

Leavitt's appointment is a positive step towards a more balanced and representative government.

Leavitt's story is being used to promote a narrative of female empowerment, but it's actually a story of exploitation and manipulation.
