Animal Remains Found Buried in Seki, Gifu Prefecture
Local residents in the city of Seki, Gifu Prefecture, are on edge after animal remains were found buried in a flower bed. This marks the second such occurrence in the prefecture this month, raising concerns among the community.
The latest incident was reported on Tuesday afternoon when a man living in the city's Oze district discovered animal remains haphazardly buried in his garden. According to the Gifu Shimbun, the man noticed fur protruding from a mound of soil and upon digging it up, found what appeared to be an animal's head.
"I saw what looked like fur sticking out of a mound of soil. When I dug it up, I found what appeared to be an animal's head," the man told authorities. "The fur was brown and whitish. It was disgusting."
This incident follows a similar discovery earlier this month in the city of Minokamo, where animal remains were found buried in a park. The nature and origin of the remains in both cases remain unclear, prompting local authorities to launch investigations.
The repeated discovery of animal remains has understandably caused anxiety among residents, who are now wary of potential animal cruelty or other sinister motives behind these acts. The authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigations.
