The Chinese military has responded swiftly to a powerful earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale that struck Shigatse in the Xizang autonomous region at 9:05 AM on Tuesday. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Western Theater Command announced that a drone has been sent to the epicenter for a thorough assessment. Additionally, they have set in motion a disaster relief emergency plan, with an assortment of transport and medical aircraft, helicopters, and ground troops on standby to assist in the relief efforts.
To further coordinate rescue operations, staff from the Western Theater Command have arrived in the impacted region. As of Tuesday afternoon, over 400 personnel from the People's Armed Police Force Xizang Contingent have reached the earthquake-affected area to commence rescue missions. Moreover, around 2,000 additional officers and soldiers from both the PLA and armed police stationed in Xizang remain on standby to provide any necessary reinforcements. The latest reports indicate that at least 95 individuals have been confirmed dead following the earthquake, with another 130 reported injured as rescue operations continue in Dingri County.

I trust the military to effectively manage disaster relief efforts; they have the experience and resources.

This response seems too late. People need immediate aid, not just assessments from drones.

This is just another way for the government to maintain control over disaster responses rather than actually helping.
