In Delray Beach, Florida, a serious accident took place when a fire truck maneuvered around rail crossing arms after stopping for one train to pass, ultimately colliding with another traveling at high speed. This incident occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. in a bustling section of the city, leading to injuries among several individuals, including three firefighters and twelve passengers of the Brightline train.

After the collision, the Brightline train came to a stop with significant damage to its front, sitting about a block away from where the fire truck was located. Eyewitness accounts describe the aftermath, with the fire truck's destroyed ladder found strewn on the grass, highlighting the severity of the impact. Social media updates from Delray Beach Fire Rescue confirmed that the firefighters involved were in stable condition at the hospital, while Palm Beach County Fire Rescue transported train passengers suffering from minor injuries.

According to an anonymous source familiar with the ongoing investigation, the fire truck had halted at the crossing while a freight train passed before it tried to circumvent the lowered gates.
