China Rejects US Interference in Taiwan, Calls for Stable Bilateral Relations

China's Response to Blinken's Statements on Taiwan

In response to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's claim that the Taiwan question is not just China's domestic affair, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian reiterated China's stance on the issue. Lin emphasized that Taiwan is an inseparable part of China, and the Taiwan question is purely an internal matter for China, not subject to any external interference.

Lin pointed out that the main threat to peace in the Taiwan region comes from "Taiwan independence" separatist activities and external interference. He urged the US to abide by the One-China principle and the three China-US joint communiqués, honor its commitment to not supporting "Taiwan independence separatists," and stop interfering in China's internal affairs regarding the Taiwan question.

Lin also addressed Blinken's claim that the US coordinates policies with its Eurasian partners to contain China. He emphasized that China has always viewed and developed relations with the US based on mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, while firmly safeguarding its sovereignty, security, and development interests. He stressed that a "new Cold War" cannot be fought or won, and containing China is unwise, undesirable, and bound to fail.

Lin concluded by highlighting the seven experiences and inspirations that Chinese President Xi Jinping listed during his meeting with US President Joe Biden. These insights offer strategic guidance for ensuring a stable, healthy, and sustainable bilateral relationship in the future. He expressed hope that the US will take these lessons seriously and work with China to move forward together.

China's aggression towards Taiwan shows that they don't believe in peaceful coexistence. It’s frightening to see how they react!

China claiming Taiwan as an 'internal matter' is just a way to silence dissenting voices. Everyone deserves the right to self-determination!

If China truly believes in mutual respect, why are they threatening Taiwan so aggressively? Sounds hypocritical!

Taiwan is a democratic entity that should decide its own fate, not be dictated to by a repressive regime.

The 'One-China principle' is outdated and ignores the realities of today’s political climate. It’s time to adapt!

Blinken was right to say the Taiwan question isn't just China's problem; international peace depends on respecting the rights of all nations.

China’s emphasis on peaceful coexistence over conflict is encouraging. Dialogue, not discord, is the way forward.

Censorship and control over Taiwan? That’s not a strategy for peaceful coexistence. That's domination.

The U.S. is right to stand firm against China's coercive tactics. The world’s balance depends on supporting democracy!

China's plea for respect is ironic when they don't respect the basic rights of people living in Taiwan.
