Osasuna stunned Barcelona with a 4-2 victory at El Sadar on Saturday, handing the Catalan giants their first defeat of the LaLiga season.
Croatian forward Ante Budimir was the star of the show for Osasuna, scoring twice. He opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a close-range header from a Bryan Zaragoza cross. Ten minutes later, Budimir doubled Osasuna's lead with a strike from a quick counter-attack.
Barcelona pulled one back in the 53rd minute through Pau Victor, but Budimir restored Osasuna's two-goal advantage from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute. Substitute Abel Bretones sealed the win for Osasuna with a brilliant long-range strike in the 83rd minute. Lamine Yamal scored a consolation goal for Barcelona in the 89th minute.
The defeat leaves Barcelona top of the standings on 21 points, four points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, who have a game in hand. Real Madrid will face local rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
