The suspect was brought back to Sri Lanka from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, following coordinated efforts between international law enforcement agencies and local authorities.

The suspect arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake. Upon landing, he was immediately taken into custody by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Officials stated that the repatriation process was the result of ongoing investigations into organized criminal networks and the pursuit of suspects who have fled the country to evade justice.

'Bus Lalith' is reportedly wanted in connection with several serious criminal charges, including involvement in organized crime, extortion, and other illicit activities. A spokesperson noted, 'The suspect will be produced before the relevant courts to face the charges pending against him.'
