- An announcement regarding visa-free transit for Indian passport holders transiting through German airports, pending the completion of legal and procedural formalities.
- The establishment of a Track 1.5 Foreign Policy and Security Dialogue and the adoption of a Work Plan of the India-Germany Digital Dialogue (2025-2027).
- Germany's commitment of 1.24 billion Euros for the Green and Sustainable Development Partnership (GSDP).
- Cooperation agreements in critical minerals, semiconductors, green hydrogen, and clean energy transition.
- Launch of an Indo-German Comprehensive Roadmap on Higher Education and a global skills partnership.
Economic and Strategic Significance
The visit underscored the robust economic ties between India and Germany. Bilateral trade in goods and services exceeded USD 50 billion in 2024, with Germany standing as India's largest trading partner within the European Union. Both leaders reiterated strong support for the early conclusion of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement, viewing it as a crucial outcome of the upcoming EU-India Summit.
The joint statement emphasized deepening cooperation across various sectors, including defense, economic growth, green development, technology cooperation, and global issues, reflecting growing trust and shared democratic values.
