Emergency Response to The Entrance Stabbing
Emergency services were called to a restaurant on The Entrance Road, in The Entrance, just before 6 PM on Friday, December 26, 2025, following reports of a stabbing. Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended the scene alongside NSW Ambulance paramedics.
Paramedics treated a 63-year-old man who had sustained stab wounds, including injuries to his neck and face. He was subsequently airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
Arrest and Charges Laid
Following initial inquiries, a 40-year-old man, believed to be known to the victim, was arrested nearby in Long Jetty. He was then taken to Wyong Police Station.
The man has been charged with:
- Reckless wounding (domestic violence)
- Breach of an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order (ADVO)
Ongoing Investigation
A crime scene was established at the restaurant, and police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have not released further details regarding the specific nature of the relationship between the two men, beyond confirming it is believed they were known to each other and the domestic violence context of the charges.
