Confidence in Milei Administration Reaches New High
Public confidence in President Javier Milei's government in Argentina experienced a significant surge in November, increasing by 17.5 points compared to the previous month. This rise marks the highest level of confidence recorded since February 2025, according to a new poll conducted by the Government School at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. The survey, which measures the Government Confidence Index (ICG), was carried out between November 3 and 14, 2025, following the nation's legislative elections.
Post-Election Boost for La Libertad Avanza
The notable increase in public confidence comes on the heels of the Argentine legislative elections held on October 26, 2025. These midterm elections saw nearly half of the seats in the Chamber of Deputies and a third of the seats in the Senate contested. The elections resulted in a decisive victory for President Milei's party, La Libertad Avanza (LLA), which secured 64 seats, bringing their total to 111 seats in the Chamber of Deputies. This strong electoral performance by the ruling coalition is widely seen as a contributing factor to the improved public sentiment.
Key Drivers of Improved Sentiment
The Universidad Torcuato Di Tella report highlighted improvements across all five assessed components of the Government Confidence Index. 'Capacity' rose by 18.6 percent, 'honesty' by 12.4 percent, 'efficiency' by 12.6 percent, 'governability' by an impressive 30.6 percent, and 'interest' by 16.8 percent. The report also noted a shift in the hierarchy of these sub-indexes, with 'Capacity' surpassing 'honesty' at the top of the ranking, while 'efficiency' maintained its third position.
Outlook for the Milei Government
This significant boost in public confidence provides a strong mandate for the Milei administration as it continues its agenda. The positive trend in November reverses declines observed in August and September, positioning the government with renewed public backing following a critical electoral period.

The post-election boost in confidence is understandable as people often rally behind winners. However, this could simply be a honeymoon period, and sustained confidence will depend on delivering concrete, positive outcomes for the nation.

Confidence won't pay the bills. His policies are still failing many.

Polls can be manipulated. I don't trust these numbers at all.
