Asia's Premier Tech Event Kicks Off in Bengaluru
The Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) 2025, widely recognized as Asia's premier technology and innovation event, officially commenced its three-day program today at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru, India. This 28th edition of the summit, running from November 18 to 20, 2025, marks a significant expansion, moving to the larger BIEC venue to accommodate its growing scale and business-focused global platform.
Organized by the Department of Electronics, Information Technology and Biotechnology, Government of Karnataka, and the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), BTS 2025 brings together global leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs under the overarching theme of 'Futurise: To shape the unknown, scale the unimaginable and shift the world forward'.
Key Inauguration and Global Participation
The summit was inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, with Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar also in attendance. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah welcomed dignitaries, industry leaders, and innovators, emphasizing Karnataka's role as a 'global epicentre of innovation, talent, research, and technological leadership'. The inaugural plenary session, titled 'India Futurises: From Leap-frogging to Pole-vaulting', featured prominent figures such as Priyank Kharge, Minister for IT & Bt; Kris Gopalakrishnan, Co-founder of Infosys; Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Executive Chairperson of Biocon Ltd.; and Prashanth Prakash, Founding Partner at Accel India. International dignitaries from countries including Germany, Norway, Australia, and Poland are also participating, underscoring the event's global reach.
BTS 2025 is set to host an impressive scale of participation, including:

A significant highlight of BTS 2025 is the unveiling of three new policies by the Karnataka government: an updated IT Policy (2025-2030), a new Startup Policy (2025-2030), and an ambitious Space Technology Policy (2025-2030). These policies aim to further accelerate investments, strengthen innovation, and expand the state's technological footprint. Additionally, a ₹600-crore Deep Tech Decade plan and a Future Makers' Conclave, designed to engage over 10,000 community leaders, are integral parts of this year's summit, reinforcing Karnataka's commitment to becoming India's deep-tech capital.

BTS 2025 serves as a critical platform for fostering collaboration, investment, and knowledge exchange. Initiatives such as 'Investor Connect' and 'Mentor Connect' are designed to provide startups with direct engagement opportunities with leading investors and experienced domain experts.
