Major Development Launched at Cityscape Global 2025
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The King Salman Park Foundation (KSPF) has officially launched a new $1 billion (SAR 3.8 billion) property development within the expansive King Salman Park. The announcement was made during Cityscape Global 2025 in Riyadh, highlighting the Kingdom's continued commitment to its ambitious Vision 2030 goals.
This significant project is a strategic partnership between the KSPF, Adjan Real Estate, and Sedco Capital. Under the agreement, the KSPF will provide the land, while Adjan and Sedco Capital will contribute the necessary equity for the development.
Project Scope and Features
The new development is designed to create a vibrant, integrated neighborhood within King Salman Park. It will encompass a diverse range of facilities, including:
- Approximately 600 residential units
- 45,000 square meters of office space
- A 200-key hotel
Strategic Location and Vision 2030 Alignment
The 106,000 square-meter site is strategically located along Oruba Road, adjacent to the Royal Arts Complex within King Salman Park. This prime position ensures seamless connectivity to the park's extensive cultural and entertainment offerings.
King Salman Park itself is a monumental 16.7 square-kilometer megaproject, launched by the Saudi government in 2019 as a cornerstone of Vision 2030. The overarching goal is to diversify the Kingdom's economy away from oil and enhance the quality of life for its citizens by transforming Riyadh into a global city with vast green spaces and diverse attractions.
Leadership Statement
George Tanasijevich, Chief Executive Officer of the King Salman Park Foundation, emphasized the project's importance. He noted that this investment reflects ongoing progress towards realizing one of the world's largest urban parks, complete with integrated residential, cultural, environmental, and commercial features.

While the economic boost and job creation are positive outcomes, I hope the environmental impact of such a large development within a park is carefully mitigated.

Creating a vibrant new neighborhood sounds great for Riyadh's growth, yet the balance between urban density and preserving natural green spaces needs constant and careful consideration.

It's exciting to see Vision 2030 take shape with new amenities, but I wonder if these projects truly enhance the quality of life for all residents, or just a select few.

This development brings valuable services and housing, but there's a risk that too much commercialization within King Salman Park could erode the tranquility and natural beauty it aims to provide.

This feels more like real estate speculation than urban planning.
