BFMTV confirmed the security alert on social media platform X, stating, 'Our premises were evacuated following a security alert. Law enforcement is on site to carry out checks. Alert Lifted and Official Statements
The alert was officially lifted at approximately 5:35 PM local time, more than two hours after the initial evacuation, following comprehensive searches that found no explosive devices. Normal programming gradually resumed shortly before 6:00 PM.
Fabien Namias, Director General of BFMTV, described the event as 'rarissime' and extended apologies to viewers for the interruption. He emphasized that the decision to evacuate was made to ensure the safety of the teams. Presenter Karine de Ménonville noted that the alert was taken seriously, particularly during a week sensitive to the commemorations of the 13-Novembre attacks. The RMC BFM group announced its intention to pursue appropriate legal action against the perpetrator of what it denounced as a 'malicious and intolerable act.'
