The 11th edition of the joint military exercise 'Mitra Shakti' between India and Sri Lanka officially commenced on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Foreign Training Node in Belagavi, Karnataka. This annual bilateral exercise is scheduled to continue until November 23, 2025, with a primary focus on enhancing interoperability in sub-conventional operations under the United Nations mandate.

The Indian contingent comprises 170 personnel, primarily from the Rajput Regiment, along with 20 personnel from the Indian Air Force. The Sri Lankan side is represented by 135 personnel, mainly from the Gajaba Regiment, supported by 10 personnel from the Sri Lankan Air Force.
