Molestation Accusations Surface Against Delhi Godman
New Delhi, India – A self-styled godman, identified as Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Partha Sarthy, is at the center of a major scandal in Delhi. He has been accused of molestation by 17 female students from the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management in Vasant Kunj. The Delhi Police have registered a case against him, and he is currently absconding.
The allegations against Saraswati include using abusive language, sending obscene messages, and engaging in unwanted physical contact. Of the 32 female students who recorded their statements with the police, 17 explicitly accused Saraswati of these acts. Disturbingly, some faculty members and administrative staff of the institute are also alleged to have pressured students to comply with his demands.
Investigation Uncovers Fake Diplomatic Plates
The initial complaint against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati was lodged on August 4 at the Vasant Kunj North Police Station. As the investigation progressed, a significant discovery was made: a Volvo car bearing a forged diplomatic number plate, '39 UN 1', was found in the basement of the institute. Police allege that this vehicle was being used by Saraswati.
Following the discovery and seizure of the luxury car, a separate First Information Report (FIR) for cheating and forgery was lodged on August 25. The incident has added another layer of complexity to the ongoing probe.
Accused Absconding, Institute Severs Ties
Despite raids and surveillance operations, Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati has remained absconding since the case came to light. He was a member of the management committee of the Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management, where the alleged incidents occurred.
In response to the serious allegations, the Sri Sri Jagadguru Shankaracharya Mahasamsthanam Dakshinamnaya Sri Sharada Peetham has publicly severed all ties with Partha Sarthy. The religious body stated that the activities he engaged in were 'illegal, inappropriate, and detrimental' to its interests. The case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and 16 victims have already deposed before a magistrate.

Good riddance! The institute did the right thing by cutting ties.

Hope they catch him soon. No place for such monsters.

While it's commendable that 17 women came forward, the fact he's absconding makes securing justice much harder. We need stronger systems.
