A source within Ukraine's military intelligence revealed that they were responsible for two attacks targeting railway infrastructure in Russia, resulting in the deaths of three Russian national guard officers. The incidents occurred in the Oryol region, where a bomb detonated on a railway track late Saturday, as confirmed by local Russian authorities. In addition, another strike destroyed tanker carriages filled with fuel. The Ukrainian military intelligence indicated that these attacks were aimed at disrupting supply lines for Russian forces operating in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions of Ukraine, which would likely cause significant logistical challenges for the Russians.
Furthermore, Ukrainian forces reportedly conducted a drone attack on a chemical factory in Russia’s Perm region that produces materials for explosives, particularly targeting a facility owned by Metafrax, which has faced sanctions imposed by both the UK and Ukraine. Ukrainian drones were also reported to have ignited a fire at the Kirishi oil refinery, one of Russia's largest, although no injuries were reported. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized the effectiveness of targeting oil refineries and related infrastructure as crucial measures to weaken Russian oil revenue.
On the home front, a train near Boyarka exploded, linked to military cargo, but no casualties were reported despite the need to evacuate over 200 passengers. Meanwhile, Ukraine’s navy announced successful strikes on a communications node used by the Russian Black Sea fleet in Crimea, indicating ongoing naval engagements in the region. President Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian forces were making progress in the northern Sumy region, countering Russian efforts to establish a foothold, while also asserting that Russian forces had sustained considerable losses in ongoing confrontations across various fronts.
In the Donetsk region, Russian-appointed officials indicated that their forces were attempting to encircle positions near Pokrovsk and other key areas, amidst reports showcasing their recent advances. In related developments, Romania lodged a formal complaint regarding a Russian drone's incursion into its airspace during a strike on Ukraine, while Poland's foreign minister described a similar incursion as a Kremlin tactic to gauge NATO's response. To strengthen defenses against such threats, Polish anti-drone teams are set to receive training from Ukrainian operators.

The world needs to remember that a ceasefire is needed!

I can't support a strategy that actively targets those in a political enemy's supply lines.

Good! It's time Russia felt the impact of its aggression. This is self-defense.

This is a dangerous escalation. Targeting civilian infrastructure, even if it serves military purposes, risks civilian casualties and is a violation of international law.

Where is the condemnation from the international community? It's a double standard to criticize one side and not the other for similar actions.
