China Slams EU Official's "Autocratic Alliance" Accusation

China's Foreign Ministry responded critically to comments from a senior EU official who suggested that China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea were forming an "autocratic alliance" to challenge the existing world order. The ministry deemed these remarks "very wrongful and irresponsible."

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun stated that the EU official's statements were laden with ideological bias, lacked historical understanding, and deliberately promoted rivalry and confrontation. He emphasized that such comments showed disrespect for the history of World War II and were detrimental to the EU's own interests.

Guo's remarks were a direct response to EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, who had previously described an "autocratic alliance" seeking to establish a new world order. Guo stressed the importance of remembering history to uphold peace.

China recently hosted events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. These events aimed to honor the past, cherish peace, and build a better future. The goal was to jointly defend the outcomes of World War II and the post-war international order with all peace-loving nations.

The commemorative events saw significant international participation, including numerous heads of state, government representatives, and diplomatic envoys from around the world, including several European nations. Guo highlighted the broad international recognition of China's contribution to the war and the shared desire to safeguard world peace and stability.

The spokesperson emphasized the need for solidarity and cooperation in the current global climate. He noted that Europe, having experienced the devastation of World War II, should possess a deeper understanding of history's lessons and the importance of unity.

Guo criticized certain EU leaders for clinging to Cold War mentalities and ideological biases, which he said were creating division and confrontation. He expressed concern that this approach would harm the EU's reputation and influence. He urged the EU to abandon prejudice, adopt a correct historical perspective, and work towards a more peaceful and stable world, fostering positive China-EU relations.

China has been a significant player in promoting peace and stability since WWII. Historical contributions shouldn’t be overlooked.

This response from China seems like an attempt to cover up its true aspirations. The world sees through this facade.

This claim of an 'autocratic alliance' isn't unfounded. We see China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea acting in concert on numerous issues.

China's attempts to portray itself as a peace-loving nation are overshadowed by its ambitions to expand authoritarianism.
