Vince Neil's Stroke and Mötley Crue's Las Vegas Residency

Vince Neil, the vocalist for Mötley Crue, disclosed that he experienced a stroke on December 26th, the day after Christmas. The stroke resulted in a loss of control over his entire left side.

In an interview, Neil explained that the band's Las Vegas residency, originally planned for March 2025, was postponed to September due to his health. He recounted that he went to sleep feeling well on Christmas Day but woke up the next morning unable to move. The stroke occurred while he was asleep.

The stroke initiated a challenging recovery process for Neil. He had to relearn how to walk, a difficult experience. Doctors initially expressed doubt about his ability to return to the stage, but Neil was determined to overcome the setback.

Mötley Crue had previously announced the postponement of their Las Vegas residency due to a medical procedure advised by Neil's doctors. Neil emphasized that his health was his priority, allowing him to deliver the best possible performances. He expressed gratitude for the support he received.

Neil has since returned to performing. He recently performed in Boston and shared his excitement about being back on stage with fellow musicians. Mötley Crue, featuring Neil, Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and John 5, has now commenced their highly anticipated residency at Dolby Live in Las Vegas. The residency is scheduled to conclude on October 3rd.

Mötley Crue was formed in California in 1981. The band has achieved significant success, selling over 100 million albums globally. They have earned multiple platinum certifications in the United States and received three Grammy nominations. A biographical film based on their book, "The Dirt," was released in 2019.
