Negotiations aimed at achieving peace between Ukraine and Russia are facing setbacks, with the Kremlin indicating a "pause" in the talks. Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin's spokesperson, stated that while communication channels remain open, the situation is best described as a pause. He cautioned against expecting immediate results from the negotiation process.
Despite a meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska, Russia has continued its military actions, gaining more territory and intensifying missile strikes. This includes a recent attack on Ukraine where Russian drones entered Polish airspace. Putin has also dismissed the possibility of meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky, who believes a summit is essential to ending the war. The Kremlin insists any talks would have to take place in Moscow, a condition unlikely to be accepted by Kyiv.
The US president expressed his dissatisfaction with the situation, but remained hopeful for a resolution. He acknowledged the possibility of mistakes but emphasized his unhappiness with the overall situation. Poland, however, rejected the notion that the drone attack was a mistake, asserting that it was not.
On Tuesday night, Polish and Dutch fighter jets were deployed in response to Russian missiles and drones targeting Ukraine. Approximately 19 of these crossed into Polish airspace. Dutch F-35s intercepted two, while the circumstances surrounding the other three are unclear. No casualties were reported. The incursion appeared to be an attempt by Putin to assess NATO's air defenses and gauge the alliance's response to provocations, including the potential invocation of the Article 5 mutual-defense clause.

How many more innocent lives will be lost while Russia 'pauses'? The world needs to act NOW.

Playing with the notion of what is an 'airspace mistake' is not helpful, it is dangerous and reckless.

Trump and Putin meet, then more attacks? Speaks volumes about their 'negotiating' styles.

Letting Zelensky dictate is not helpful. The only way to find some peace is to keep dialogue open.

This is a planned and coordinated invasion, not a 'special military operation'.
