However, Loomer's call to action was met with a wave of criticism, particularly due to her own earlier statements regarding Kirk. In a post from mid-July, she had denounced him as a “charlatan” and a “political opportunist," accusing him of betraying Trump during their tenure. Her incredulity revolved around Kirk's opposition to military strikes ordered by Trump and his calls for the release of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein’s prosecution. At that time, Loomer also expressed disgust over Kirk's appearances with figures she deemed unfavorable, stating he had no right to claim pro-Trump sentiments.

Moreover, Loomer's fervent response to Kirk's assassination sharply contrasted with her dismissive stance regarding the violent attack on Nancy Pelosi's husband last year, where she spread unfounded conspiracy theories about the attack.
In developments about the investigation, authorities announced the arrest of Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, as the suspect in Kirk's murder. Officials revealed that Robinson had expressed discontent with Kirk's viewpoints during a family gathering, contributing to the investigation's direction.
