Months before the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, the conservative activist warned his followers on social media about the spread of an "assassination culture" on the left. He shared a post referencing a study that indicated a significant percentage of respondents, particularly those identifying as left-leaning, believed it would be justified to murder prominent figures like Donald Trump and Elon Musk.
In his post, Kirk highlighted the study's findings, emphasizing the high percentages of liberals who expressed support for violence against Trump and Musk. He attributed this to a "violent frenzy" on the left, where any setback was seen as justification for a violent response. Kirk characterized this as a natural consequence of left-wing protest culture, which he accused of tolerating violence and mayhem. He also criticized local prosecutors and school officials for their perceived complicity in promoting violent attitudes.
Kirk's post also mentioned the naming of a California ballot measure after the murderer of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson, Luigi Mangione, as an example of the left's actions.
The assassination of Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, is the latest in a series of violent incidents targeting conservative figures and institutions. This trend has been observed over the past four years, including multiple assassination attempts on Trump.
Other incidents include an arson attack on the New Mexico Republican Party's headquarters, vandalism targeting Tesla facilities and Republicans, and physical attacks on pro-life activists. These events led some GOP lawmakers to cancel public events due to safety concerns.
Turning Point USA chapters have also faced violence, such as an attack on students at the University of California, Davis. Additionally, conservative political activist Riley Gaines was attacked and barricaded at San Francisco State University.
Furthermore, churches and pro-life groups have experienced numerous attacks since the Supreme Court's Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision. These attacks included a firebombed pro-life center, vandalized Catholic churches, and disruptions of faith services.

It’s clear that many on the left don't think twice about endorsing violence when it comes to their ideological opponents.

It's clear the left has become increasingly unhinged. It's crucial to protect conservative voices.

It's about time someone spoke out against the growing violence on the left! Kirk has a point.

The real issue is the culture of intolerance on both sides, yet Kirk fails to acknowledge that.

There’s no time for silence on these issues; Kirk’s message needs to be spread wider to raise awareness.

The numerous attacks on conservative figures shouldn't be ignored; they point to a broader problem.
