Bruesewitz Remembers Charlie Kirk, Condemns "Hateful Rhetoric

Alex Bruesewitz, a longtime friend and advisor to Donald Trump, shared his grief on "The Story" following the death of Charlie Kirk. Bruesewitz, who had known Kirk since he was 16, expressed the difficulty of the past day.

The two had collaborated on Bruesewitz's book, "Winning the Social Media War," with Kirk contributing the foreword. Both had worked to broaden President Trump's support among young voters.

Bruesewitz described Kirk as the "nicest man" he had ever known, emphasizing his peaceful nature. He stated that Kirk never sought to harm anyone and only desired to engage in conversations and debates, speaking the truth without resorting to violence.

Bruesewitz criticized what he called a "sick ideology" prevalent in America, specifically targeting the "radical left." He referenced the negative coverage Kirk received, particularly from politicians who, according to Bruesewitz, express different views in private compared to their public statements. He accused these individuals of insincerity, motivated by a desire for media attention.

Bruesewitz called for apologies and an end to hateful rhetoric directed towards Kirk, the president, and others. This followed the firing of former MSNBC analyst Matthew Dowd, who had described Kirk as a divisive figure. A statement from the network acknowledged Dowd's comments as inappropriate and apologized for them.

The left’s obsession with tearing down figures like Kirk is a problem in our discourse. Thank you for speaking out!

Another attempt to silence dissenting voices by glorifying someone who wouldn't tolerate differing opinions.

Kirk was a controversial figure who thrived on controversy. Why the need to paint him as a saint now?

Isn't it ironic how he's only talking about ‘peaceful debates’ when they can’t accept any opposition?

When will they understand that not everyone views their heroes the same way? Kirk was not universally loved.

If Bruesewitz really believes in peaceful dialogue, why is he fueling the very divisiveness he claims to oppose?

Kirk may have been controversial, but he had a positive influence on many. It’s time we acknowledge that.
