Indian Women's Hockey Team Dominates Singapore with 12-0 Victory in Asia Cup

The Indian women's hockey team advanced to the Super 4s in the Women's Asia Cup 2025 with an impressive victory over Singapore, finishing the match with a staggering score of 12-0. The game showcased remarkable individual performances, particularly from Navneet and Mumtaz, who each scored three goals, while Neha added two goals of her own. Moreover, Lalremsiami, Udita, Sharmila, and Rutuja Pisal also made significant contributions to the team's overwhelming success.

India began the match with an aggressive approach, scoring within the first two minutes when Mumtaz delivered a powerful reverse stick shot from the edge of the circle. Despite Singapore's efforts to defend against India's offensive onslaught, Neha quickly doubled the score in the 11th minute after capitalizing on a rebound, followed by Lalremsiami's goal shortly after, extending the lead to 3-0. Navneet later converted a penalty corner to wrap up the first quarter with a strong 4-0 lead.

During the second quarter, Singapore managed to hold India at bay for some time, but Navneet's striking performance continued as she scored again in the 20th minute. India's pressure was relentless, and after winning additional penalty corners, she completed her hat-trick in the 28th minute, with Udita's contribution shortly after making it 7-0 by halftime.

In the third quarter, India maintained its commanding lead and showcased exceptional passing and movement. Lalremsiami assisted Mumtaz to increase the lead to 8-0, and Neha scored again soon after. Mumtaz netted her third goal, contributing to a total of 11 goals for India by the end of the quarter, while Sharmila scored shortly before the end to solidify the score at 12-0.

Throughout the fourth quarter, India continued pushing for more goals, with Rutuja Pisal scoring in the 53rd minute. Though Singapore attempted to respond offensively, they were unable to penetrate India's strong defense, concluding the match with India's overwhelming superiority.
