China's Rejuvenation Unstoppable, Calls for Global Cooperation

On Wednesday, Chinese President Xi Jinping declared that the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is an unstoppable force. This statement was made during the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in China's war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Xi, who also serves as the general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, described the resistance war as a difficult yet significant period. He highlighted that it marked China's first complete victory against foreign aggression in modern history. He made these remarks during a large commemorative gathering held in Beijing.

He emphasized that the victory was achieved through a united national front against Japanese aggression, spearheaded by the CPC. Xi noted the substantial contribution the Chinese people made to the preservation of human civilization and the defense of world peace, achieved through immense sacrifice during the war, which was a crucial part of the World Anti-Fascist War.

Xi further stated that global security can only be ensured when nations treat each other equally, coexist harmoniously, and provide mutual support. This approach, he argued, is essential to eliminate the root causes of war and prevent the recurrence of historical tragedies.

He observed that humanity currently faces a critical choice between peace and war, dialogue and confrontation, and win-win outcomes versus zero-sum games. Xi affirmed that the Chinese people will remain steadfast in their commitment to the right side of history and the advancement of humanity. They will continue to pursue peaceful development and collaborate with the global community to build a shared future for all.

Xi called upon all Chinese people to remain united and work diligently under the strong leadership of the CPC. The goal is to build a strong nation and advance national rejuvenation across all sectors through Chinese modernization.

Furthermore, Xi directed the People's Liberation Army (PLA) to provide strategic support for national rejuvenation and to contribute more to global peace and development. He also urged the PLA to develop into world-class forces and to resolutely protect national sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
