A 14-year-old boy was stabbed in Meriden Park, Chelmsley Wood, Birmingham. The incident occurred on Sunday, August 31st, and the attacker remains at large. West Midlands Police responded to reports of a fight involving a group of youths in the park.
Following the reports, numerous police officers arrived at the scene, and a helicopter was observed circling the area. Police cordoned off Meriden Park as a result of the incident. The injured teenager was immediately transported to the hospital to receive treatment for stab wounds. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
According to a local resident, the stabbing took place near the Centurion pub, a popular establishment in the residential area. The resident reported a significant police presence, including dozens of officers, the park being closed off, and the helicopter overhead.
Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing, and investigations are ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
