Today, Labour’s announcement is being characterized as a minor adjustment in response to a crisis that clearly requires substantial reform. There is a widespread demand from the public for greater safety, fairness, and a sense of control, yet what the government has proposed amounts to insignificant administrative changes. Since Labour assumed power, the number of illegal immigrants crossing the Channel has surged beyond 52,000, with more than 29,000 occurring just this year, marking 2025 as an unprecedented year in terms of crossings.
People are understandably anxious about safety, especially concerning their children who must pass by migrant hotels on their way to school. There are increasing fears linked to rising crime rates, with serious accusations made against asylum seekers residing in towns such as Epping, where disturbing incidents, including sexual assaults, have been reported involving young girls and illegal immigrants in asylum accommodations. The public also feels a sense of injustice as they observe local families enduring lengthy waits for housing while illegal arrivals appear to be given preference.
Despite these legitimate concerns, Labour seems to dismiss them, favoring the rights of illegal immigrants over those of local communities. Many believe that illegal immigrants should not be allowed to sponsor family members to come to the UK, and that they should be deported immediately. Labour's unwillingness to amend the Human Rights Act in relation to immigration means that activist lawyers can continue to impede removals for an extensive period. Without the ability to deport individuals who arrive illegally, the flow of crossings will persist.
only the Conservative party appears to have both the determination and actionable strategy to impose order, equity, and control within the UK immigration system.

The constant rhetoric about activist lawyers is a dog whistle. We need to protect human rights.

This is a national crisis and Labour's inaction is proof of their incompetence. The situation calls for concrete measures!

My child's safety is paramount. I am worried about their safety. The government needs to do something, and fast!

This text completely neglects economic benefits of immigration. Migrants contribute to our society, too.

Local communities are being forgotten. They're putting illegal immigrants ahead of British Families.
