Global Sports, based in India, has joined forces with several international pickleball organizations to form a global alliance. This collaboration aims to accelerate the worldwide growth of professional pickleball. The alliance includes the Association of Pickleball Players (APP), the Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL), the European Pickleball Federation (EPF), Australia's National Pickleball League (NPL), Pickleball England, and Vietnam's Pickleball D-Joy.
Global Sports has been a key player in India's pickleball boom since 2021, fostering a nationwide interest through its comprehensive ecosystem, coaching programs, and high-profile events. These events have attracted global talent and celebrities, transforming the sport into a lifestyle phenomenon.
The alliance seeks to create a unified structure for professional pickleball. This includes a coordinated event schedule, a global ranking system, tiered prize pools, enhanced business partnerships, and funding for scholarships. The goal is to provide more career opportunities and financial rewards for professional players worldwide.
The alliance will establish a year-round world calendar, featuring at least 30 tournaments in 2026. These tournaments will be categorized into three tiers, each offering increasing prize money and ranking points. The partner organizations have coordinated their schedules to avoid conflicts, maximizing opportunities for players to compete.
The alliance will also develop a unified global rankings system for professional players, ensuring fair competition across all events. Furthermore, the alliance members will collaborate on commercial opportunities, including sponsorships and revenue sharing. The initiative aims to strengthen the support for the future of pickleball globally.

Aligning tournament schedules is great until it creates conflicts for local enthusiasts. What about us?

I can see this alliance leading to elitism in the sport, turning pickleball into something only the rich can pursue.
