Trump Warns of Economic Disaster Following Tariff Ruling

In a post on Truth Social, Trump specifically targeted the judges involved, labeling them a "Radical Left group." He did, however, acknowledge and thank a Democratic judge appointed by the Obama administration who voted in favor of upholding the tariffs, praising their courage and respect for the nation.

The court's ruling, as reported by CNN, invalidated several tariffs imposed during Trump's administration. The court determined that he had overstepped his authority by using emergency powers to implement these import duties. The court emphasized that the power to impose taxes and tariffs is constitutionally vested in Congress.

Trump had previously condemned the court's decision, asserting that the tariffs would remain in effect. He described the ruling as incorrect and warned of dire consequences if the tariffs were removed, including financial weakness for the country. The court has delayed the enforcement of its ruling until October, providing the Trump administration the opportunity to appeal to the Supreme Court.
