Emergency services responded to a Saudia Airlines aircraft at Heathrow Airport after it landed from Jeddah. The incident occurred shortly before 1 pm on Thursday, prompting a swift response from authorities. The aircraft, a Boeing 787, had just completed its flight and was taxiing towards Terminal 4 when the situation unfolded.
Reports indicate that the plane came to an abrupt stop on the taxiway, prompting the pilots to request immediate assistance. Upon arrival, officials boarded the jet, which was carrying passengers on Flight SV119. The scene was marked by the presence of numerous emergency vehicles, including fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances.
The disruption reportedly began as the aircraft was moving towards its designated stand. A male passenger engaged in an altercation with a crew member, allegedly assaulting him before attempting to open one of the aircraft doors.
Following the incident, a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of endangering an aircraft, multiple counts of assault, behaving in a threatening manner, and damaging an aircraft. He has since been released while investigations continue.
According to sources, the situation on board was chaotic and caused distress among the passengers. The flight, registered HZ-AR27, had departed Jeddah with a slight delay and took just over six hours to reach London.

Heathrow needs to reevaluate security protocols if people think they can act out like this.

In a high-stress environment like an aircraft, emotions can flare up. Let’s hope this passenger finds the help he needs.

It's absolutely disgraceful that a passenger thought it was acceptable to assault a crew member! They should ban him from flying permanently.

We need to be more understanding of why people may act out under stress. Not every situation is straightforward.

How can someone be so reckless and dangerous? This is why stricter airport security measures are necessary!
