Sydney Roosters captain Isabelle Kelly's NRLW season is likely over due to a serious injury sustained during the team's recent match. The incident, which occurred during the Roosters' 15th consecutive victory, involved a collision that resulted in a suspected broken jaw for Kelly.
Despite the setback, the Roosters continued their dominant run, defeating the Cowboys with a score of 30-0 in Townsville. The injury to Kelly occurred in the second half when she collided with Cowboys winger Fran Goldthorp during a tackle attempt. Goldthorp's elbow struck Kelly's chin, causing immediate distress.
Kelly was visibly in pain and was attended to by trainers before being assisted off the field. She was subsequently transported to the hospital via ambulance. The Roosters, undeterred by the loss of their captain, continued their winning streak, scoring multiple tries in the second half. They remain at the top of the league standings.
The reigning premiers are considered the favorites to win again in 2025, with the Brisbane Broncos being their closest rivals. The Broncos' only loss this season was against the Roosters. The Roosters have two more regular season games before the finals, which could include a maximum of three games, concluding with the grand final on October 5.

Roosters stand strong and win!

Good luck to Kelly. But honestly, the NRLW needs more parity. So predictable

I hope the Broncos can finally challenge the Roosters, for anyone's interest's sake.

30-0 is pretty savage against the Cowboys. Feel bad for them.
