If you are fortunate enough to win a prize in the draws, you have a 180-day window from the draw date to claim your winnings. The method for claiming your prize depends on where you purchased your ticket and the amount you have won.
For winnings up to £500, the prize money will be automatically deposited into your National Lottery account. No action is required on your part. If you win between £500 and £30,000, you will need to verify the card details associated with your account before 11:00 pm on the final day of the claim period.
Prizes ranging from £30,000.01 to £50,000 require a phone call during the claim period, and the winnings will be paid via cheque. For prizes exceeding £50,000, you must claim the prize in person within the claim period. You will need to contact the National Lottery to register your winnings and schedule a date and time to collect your prize.
Prizes up to £100 can be claimed at any local National Lottery retailer. Winnings between £100.01 and £500 can also be claimed at select National Lottery retailers.
Winnings between £500.01 and £50,000 can no longer be claimed at Post Offices. These prizes must be claimed online, with the winning ticket in hand. Players who have won over £50,000 must contact the National Lottery to confirm their winnings and arrange a date and time to collect their prize.

Great that prizes can be claimed at retailers for small wins!

Taking away claiming at Post Offices is a huge inconvenience. What were they thinking?

The 180-day window is generous, giving plenty of time to claim.

Why so many different rules depending on the amount? Make it simple!

This whole system feels designed by lawyers, not for players.
