Musk's comment was prompted by a post from Rupert Lowe MP, the chair of the Rape Gang Inquiry. Lowe revealed the latest findings, describing the investigation as a comprehensive exposé of the scandal. The inquiry, established to examine patterns of group-based child sexual exploitation, has gathered information from numerous Freedom of Information requests, survivor testimonies, and whistleblower evidence. Cases have been documented across the UK, with some dating back to the 1960s. The interim findings indicate that organized groups often perpetrated the exploitation, with links to failures by local authorities and law enforcement.

Survivors have long asserted that officials ignored or mishandled their cases, citing negligence and alleged cover-ups. Mr. Lowe announced that the inquiry will hold public hearings later this year, allowing survivors to provide direct evidence and experts to contribute to policy recommendations.
