She cited their breathing difficulties as a major concern, along with snoring and other health issues like skinfold dermatitis, allergies, and digestive problems. She also excluded German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois. While acknowledging their potential as police dogs and in rescue situations, she pointed out that many she encounters in her clinic are poorly trained and exhibit aggressive behavior. She stated that she wouldn't have the time to properly train them.

Finally, Dr. Terrell's top pick, which she jokingly presented to provoke a reaction, was the Goldendoodle. She noted that while some Goldendoodles are sweet, many are overly energetic and prone to aggression. She also mentioned their susceptibility to ear infections, high grooming costs, and overall high maintenance requirements as reasons for her avoidance.
