In Beijing, Vice-Premier Liu Guozhong emphasized the importance of medical professionals upholding ethical standards and continuously improving their expertise to ensure the well-being of the population.
During his visit on Tuesday to a traditional Chinese medicine hospital and a community health services center, Liu acknowledged China's eighth Doctors' Day. He conveyed his greetings to all medical workers across the nation, recognizing their crucial contributions to the advancement of public health.
Liu underscored the essential role medical workers play in safeguarding lives and promoting health. He encouraged them to further the development of medical technology and elevate the quality of healthcare services.
Furthermore, he called upon local authorities to bolster primary-level healthcare teams, reinforce the teaching and innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine, and implement supportive policies to incentivize and assist Chinese medical workers.
