The 2025 China-Central Asia Young Engineers Exchange Activity began on August 20th in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region. This event is a collaborative effort between the Chinese Society of Engineers and the Central Asian Association for Accreditation of Education.
The gathering brings together more than 80 experts and young engineers specializing in energy and power engineering. Participants hail from China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The primary goal is to encourage cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
A notable event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Chinese Society of Engineers and the Central Asian Association for Accreditation of Education. Additionally, a major joint initiative was launched to support the creation of a China-Central Asia Regional Power Standardization Organization.
The program includes presentations on engineering innovation and the coordination of standards. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit local energy facilities. These visits will provide firsthand exposure to advanced Chinese technologies in power transmission.
This exchange represents a significant advancement in practical energy collaboration and the strengthening of relationships between China and Central Asia.
