On Friday, Donald Trump was observed exiting the White House with a significant amount of makeup on his right hand, which fueled ongoing speculation about his health status. At 79 years old, Trump is believed to have used makeup previously to conceal bruises on his hand, yet the application appeared particularly pronounced during his recent visit to The People's House museum. In response to worries regarding Trump’s health, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt downplayed these issues, attributing the bruising to frequent handshakes, as Trump engages with more Americans daily than any other president historically. Despite her reassurance, Leavitt remained vague when discussing Trump’s health, particularly concerning the visible swelling of his ankles and the bruising on his hand.

Last month, the White House revealed that Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), a condition typically found in older adults that can lead to symptoms such as skin problems, swelling, and bloating in the ankles. His physician noted that Trump had experienced mild swelling in his lower legs, and in line with routine medical protocols, this issue was comprehensively assessed by the White House medical team. When reporters inquired about Trump's doctor and a possible meeting, Leavitt suggested they could explore the idea, asserting that there was "nothing to hide."

However, details regarding any possible treatment or lifestyle modifications, such as the use of compression socks for managing his swollen ankles, have not been disclosed. The combination of visible bruising alongside unanswered questions continues to invite scrutiny regarding Trump's overall health. Additionally, earlier this month, Trump mistakenly referred to the Atlantic Ocean in an interview on Fox and Friends as "a big, beautiful ocean," indicating confusion, and he erroneously stated that he was heading to Russia for a summit with Vladimir Putin, when it was actually scheduled to take place in Alaska.
