Early Thursday morning in Studio City, Los Angeles, rapper and singer Lil Nas X was apprehended by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department. Following his arrest, he received medical attention for a suspected overdose.
The incident began around 5:50 a.m. when LAPD officers were called to Ventura Boulevard and Vineland Avenue due to a report of a man walking in the street. Upon their arrival, the man reportedly charged at the officers, leading to his immediate arrest.
The individual was identified as 26-year-old Montero Lamar Hill, widely recognized by his stage name, Lil Nas X. He was charged with battery on a police officer. Subsequently, he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment related to the potential overdose.
Lil Nas X achieved significant recognition in 2020, including Grammy Awards for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Music Video for his collaboration with Billy Ray Cyrus on "Old Town Road." The duo also received a Country Music Association award for the same song.
