On Friday, an online content creator was fatally shot in Arizona. The Glendale police reported that the shooting occurred when a gunman fired randomly during an argument between drivers of two other vehicles.
The victim, 27-year-old Yarely Ashley Hermosillo, was a passenger in a vehicle and was not the intended target. She was known online as a reels creator and had a significant following on Instagram. According to police, the shot was fired after a verbal exchange between individuals in two cars on Camelback Road.
Jesus Preciado Dousten, 33, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault, misconduct involving weapons, and endangerment. Police stated in an affidavit that Dousten, driving a GMC pickup, produced a black handgun during the argument, made a threatening statement in Spanish, and then fired the weapon. Hermosillo was struck in the right eye and pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Witnesses reported that Dousten appeared intoxicated. Family members expressed their grief, recalling the pain of losing Hermosillo. She was a mother to a 3-year-old son, and her social media career, which focused on cooking, was gaining momentum. Her family described her as someone with many dreams and goals for the future.
Dousten has a history of criminal activity, including a road-rage incident in Phoenix. He has prior convictions for attempted theft, unlawful flight from law enforcement, resisting arrest, and criminal trespass. He is being held on a $1 million bail. Police indicated that the initial argument between drivers was not criminal in nature and that the reason for the suspect's decision to fire the weapon remains unknown.

Praying for her son to find peace. She shared her gift with us. Gone but she will never be forgotten.
