End Feud with Trump, Seek White House Reconciliation

Vice President JD Vance is reportedly encouraging Elon Musk to mend fences with the White House, acknowledging that Musk made an error in his disagreements with President Trump. Speaking to The Gateway Pundit, Vance expressed uncertainty about whether Musk would currently accept his call, given the tech mogul's complex relationship with the White House. Vance downplayed the significance of the disagreements between Trump and Musk, stating his broad perspective on the matter. He emphasized that as long as someone is patriotic and not actively undermining the president or the movement, minor disagreements are inconsequential.

Vance suggested that if Musk were to shift his political leanings towards the left, the Democrats would not embrace him. Therefore, he should seek reconciliation with President Trump and return to the White House. Vance argued that Musk would not be welcomed by the left, even if he desired it, and that it would be a mistake for him to distance himself from the president. Vance expressed his hope that things would return to normal by the midterms.

Musk's departure from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) occurred at the end of May. During his time leading the department, Musk significantly reduced his target for cutting spending, while frequently expressing frustration over resistance to his goals.

Following his departure from Trump's administration, Musk and the president engaged in a dispute over Trump's domestic policy legislation. Trump expressed disappointment in Musk after the tech entrepreneur repeatedly criticized the president's comprehensive domestic policy legislation. The disagreement appeared to subside for a time before Musk reignited it, declaring that the bill would contribute significantly to the national debt. Trump responded by criticizing Musk's reliance on subsidies and suggesting that without them, Musk's businesses might fail.
