Gabriela Dabrowski, representing Canada, alongside New Zealand's Erin Routliffe, has moved into the third round of the women’s doubles event at the Cincinnati Open tennis tournament. On Tuesday, they faced off against Indonesia’s Aldila Sutjiadi and Mexico’s Giuliana Olmos, securing their place in the next round with a score of 3-6, 7-6(2), 10-7.
During the match, Dabrowski and Routliffe excelled with their serves, winning 67 percent of their first-serve points and successfully breaking their opponents three times out of eleven chances. In contrast, Sutjiadi and Olmos only managed to capitalize on 50 percent of their first-serve points, but they converted four out of five break-point opportunities. Dabrowski’s success at the event is notable as she is one of just two Canadians still competing, with Felix Auger-Aliassime also making strides in the men’s singles category, set to face Benjamin Bonzi from France in the fourth round on Wednesday.

Breaking serve three times against such average opponents? Not a strong showing.

Their serves may have been good, but overall gameplay needs a serious upgrade.

I’ll believe in them when I see consistent wins – not just one-off matches.

This double’s performance was underwhelming. They need more practice as a team.

Way to fight back after losing the first set! This duo has grit!
