As anticipation builds for potential peace talks between the United States and Russia regarding Ukraine, scheduled for August 15th, a surprising assessment has emerged from Kyiv's military intelligence. The head of Ukraine's military intelligence suggests that North Korea is unexpectedly benefiting from the ongoing conflict.
According to the intelligence chief, North Korea's support for Russia's invasion has provided the communist regime with valuable battlefield experience. This experience is gained alongside access to advanced weaponry, military technology, and tactical training. These advantages are not only influencing the war in Europe but could also reshape the power dynamics in Northeast Asia.
Lt. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov, Ukraine's Chief of Defense Intelligence, highlighted the unique position of North Korea. He stated that only three nations currently possess the experience of engaging in a modern war across an extensive front line, utilizing nearly all conventional military resources. These three countries are Ukraine, Russia, and North Korea.
