His comments sparked renewed calls for the release of all federal documents relating to Epstein. Bill Kristol, the director of Defending Democracy, insisted that while the names of victims and survivors should be redacted, the identities of Epstein's clients and collaborators should be disclosed. Others, including journalist Brigitte Pellerin, expressed that the political affiliations of those involved are not the main concern, while speakers like Jon Favreau emphasized the need for transparency, questioning Vance's motives and requesting the release of all names linked to Epstein.

Former President Donald Trump continues to navigate scrutiny regarding his past interactions with Epstein, despite having faced no formal accusations of wrongdoing. Trump's frustrations over the persistent interest in Epstein have led him to term the situation as a Democratic "hoax," attempting to downplay its relevance amidst his administration's achievements. However, conspiracy theorist Alex Jones criticized Trump for reigniting media interest in the Epstein controversy, suggesting that attempts to silence gossip only amplify it, a phenomenon known as the "Streisand effect.
