Kumamoto Prefecture has been struck by unprecedented rainfall, leading to significant emergency situations, including the disappearance of at least two people. The Japan Meteorological Agency has responded by issuing a “special heavy rain warning” for various locations within the region.
One critical incident involved a woman in her thirties who called for help after her car was caught in a landslide while she attempted to evacuate in the town of Kosa. Although she and her two young companions, aged 4 and 1, were rescued, a man in his fifties who was outside of the vehicle is currently missing.
In another locality, Tamana, authorities received a report of an individual who may have been swept away by the rising waters, prompting an active search by fire departments and emergency personnel. Meanwhile, in Misato, rescuers responded to a distress call early Monday about a man in his sixties, who was found trapped beneath a mudslide after his home suffered severe damage. Rescue efforts for him are still ongoing.

Sounds like a minor inconvenience blown out of proportion. People need to chill.

Why are there always 'warnings'? This is just weather, it’s not the end of the world!
