On Saturday, the Chinese Embassy in Britain issued a strong condemnation of recent statements made by the Group of Seven (G7) concerning Hong Kong. The embassy characterized the G7's comments as "erroneous remarks."
A spokesperson for the embassy stated that the G7's comments, particularly those from countries like the United Kingdom, regarding the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) police's law enforcement actions, represented a significant interference in China's internal affairs and the rule of law within Hong Kong. The embassy strongly condemned these remarks.
The spokesperson's comments were made in response to the G7's statements on Friday, which addressed the arrest warrants issued on July 25 by the Hong Kong Police Force against 19 individuals accused of disrupting activities against China. The embassy reiterated its firm support for the Hong Kong SAR government's actions and the Hong Kong police's law enforcement efforts, all conducted in accordance with the law.
The embassy spokesperson further asserted that the involvement of these countries in Hong Kong's legal matters highlighted their hypocrisy and double standards regarding human rights and the rule of law. This interference, the spokesperson added, would only strengthen the Hong Kong SAR government's determination to govern Hong Kong according to the law and to punish criminal activities. The embassy urged the relevant countries to cease their interference in China's internal affairs and to stop providing excuses for those who have committed crimes.

It’s ironic that China accuses others of double standards. Their actions in Hong Kong speak volumes.

It's about time someone stood up against Western hypocrisy! China is just ensuring the rule of law is upheld.

I'm with the embassy on this one! Respect for China's legal processes is essential for global diplomacy.

Hong Kong deserves the world's support against oppression, not China's hollow justifications.
